In international fleet customer business, the Volkswagen Group is the market leader in the five largest individual EU markets (Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the UK) for passenger car fleet business. Based on this volume, the Volkswagen Group created the Volkswagen Group Fleet International, which exclusively takes care of the needs of national and international fleet customers.
In the German core market, group brands reached a collective turnover of 164,688 vehicles in 2008. Unchallenged in the lead of the German fleet market: Volkswagen passenger cars with 100.689 units, which represents a growth of 4.3 percent since 2007. The reason for this success is a unique product and service spectrum in the realm of major customer and fleet management. The product is at the centre of all activities: on the automobile side, with the brands Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, SEAT and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, every vehicle class is available, from the smallest of small cars to luxury sedans and multivans.
In addition, the available range of Volkswagen Leasing includes all finanancial services necessary to major fleet customers such as insurance, Full Service Leasing all the way to complete fleet management.
