Information for Online Ordering

Simplify your internal procedures and order vehicles online. Only major fleet customers of Volkswagen AG can take advantage of this exclusive service. The entire process takes place via the internet: from configuration to ordering the vehicles and order confirmation all the way to the internal user management. Your dealer is your contact person for the vehicle ordered, order confirmation, setting a shipping date, changing the vehicle configuration if necessary as well as payment and delivery.

The System

The person in your company responsible for vehicle purchasing receives administrator rights from Volkswagen AG for the system. This enables the following:

• Vehicle configuration, whereby you can select either list price or your major customer price (with or without VAT, respectively).
• Save the configurations for later editing. 
• Send the configuration to your dealer. 
• View configurations with all details pertaining to the vehicle and user for all vehicles ordered. 
• Display all vehicles ordered, whereby a selection based on various criteria is possible.
• Allocation of administrator rights to other employees. 
• Allocation of configuration and ordering priviliges to other employees who are allowed to order their own vehicles. 
• Allocation of configuration privileges to employees who use company cars and are allowed to configure their own vehicles.
• The employee configurations are stored in the system and forwarded to the administrator with ordering privileges.
• The administrator is automatically informed of the order via email and can check the desired vehicle against the company policies, and if necessary alter it and order the vehicle from the appropriate dealer. 
• Purchase order tracing after placement of order.  
• Administration of the configuration, the vehicles ordered and employee privileges.

Customers with an order volume of at least 50 vehicles per year have the following two new ordering options:

• Each employee receives access to the configurer via your intranet and after entering his personal data, can order vehicles from the fleet management. The vehicles can be reviewed by the fleet management directly in the Fleet Ordering System, revised and ordered from a dealer in the delivery association. With this method the maintenance of the user administration for employees entitled to company cars is omitted in the system.
• The ordering process can also be carried out completely by email. The advantage to this is that here, user administration is also omitted and the fleet management can simply review the orders in the email and forward them to the dealer. Also here, each employee receives access to the configurator via your intranet and after entering his personal data, can order vehicles from the fleet management. A further advantage is that the information in the email can be extracted by a system of your design and used for further processing.
